I've been playing with ideas of using every-day technology and doing something weird or different. I thought of a guitar amplifier, but instead of producing sound it also creates visuals. The title comes from the song "Hybrid Rainbow" by the Pillows of FLCL fame. Loved the song and finally drew something to go along with it.
Was having a conversation with a little girl at work, talking about Frozen. She said "wouldn't it be cool if Elsa and Periwinkle from Tinkerbell hanged out!" The way she said it was TOO ADORABLE. I ended up sketching this out months ago, but didn't finish it until recently. This was also me experimenting with lighting techniques, still need practice.
Met some awesome people at POW Entertainment. I showed them a caricature of Stan Lee I did for a pillow design and they asked if I was interested in doing something for Valentine's Day. Cupid Stan, featured on TheRealStanLee.com for a caption contest. I was a great opportunity and an honor to draw THE Stan Lee....in a diaper.
